    I helped repair a real bike!!! Our Chef has an older 1200 HD. One of the exhaust studs broke. We drilled, extracted, and replaced it. Back on the road in less than two hours. :dance:

    Cool....had to do that exercise before, but many years ago.....only it was a head bolt. Also had to do that on a Ford 289 intake manifold bolt. That too was a hell of a long time ago....like about 43 years ago. :rofl:

    That would have cost him at least $200 at a HD shop......:?.....which is why I continue to do what I can to repair and maintain my bike. So it was an older Sportser?....or a very old Harley (like before 1985)?

    The standard full size Harley engine is now 1580 CC (96 cubic inches), but with a stage II kit, you can raise it to 102 cubic inches.....then a stage III kit will raise it to 110 cubic inches. Stage II is basically replacing the pistons and heads (larger diameter pistons), Stage III is replacing the crank and rods for a longer stroke with higher compression....
