    Then in the second video, he changes his RAM from 8 to 12 gb without adding any physical RAM. THat doesn't make sense to me either. Just because the CPU thinks that there is 12 doesn't mean that you are getting the performance of 12 when you have 8 installed ...

    It has been my experience that it can change performance, but only in a negative sense, and that occurs when you have a lower memory designation in your system setup than you actually have on your mother board.....but I agree, placing a higher number in your BIOS does not good and could potentially cause a memory conflict....leading to the dreaded blue screen of death...:lol:

    Yeah, I would agree. I could see two outcomes. Either it has zero effect on how the computer runs or there is some kind of conflict because the system is smart enough to realize that there is a difference between the actual amount and the listed amount.
