    For me, once you get past a certain combination of heat and humidity, the numbers don't much matter on how you feel......may impact how much your AC runs, but it is just too hot outside to enjoy being outside. :shock:

    Is the slot bad or the RAM module? If it is the slot, then that is new motherboard time, if it is the RAM module, well, than can be replaced a lot cheaper and with a lot less work.

    Yeah, unfortunately it's the slot. I tested both 2gb RAM modules in each slot and they both work in the top, but not in the bottom. So, rather then replace my logic board, I just got a 4gb module for $25. SHould be here Monday.

    I am assuming that you check all of our system setups to make sure they were set to recognized both upper and lower slots.....right? A good module in an unrecognized slot will not function....at least on PC type machines......and I seem to recall that you may have a Mac?
