.....not like physical work outside, but it does have to be done....got some more financial work I will do tonight I think....or tomorrow.

 

I had a rough day today. I'm lucky I have tonight off. I think I should vacuum here too Thore.

 

Did some brick work like that in my youth....had an old three story farm house on my grandmother's property that had burned down many years earlier, but the three chimneys were still there.....put up scaffeling (sp) and took them down, stack in flatbed trailer, hauled them to a new storage area, stacked them there......then some twenty years later, slowly loaded them into the back of my Dad's pickup truck (Datson) and took them out to my grandmother's new home on our lake property some 30 miles away. Yep, stacked them there too....then some two years later used them for walk ways around the house and down to the lake....Now I have a stack of brick, about 4 feet by 10 feet about 3.5 feet high stacked in my back yard.....that will probably never be used.......

it wasn't that big trailer.. maybe around 250-300 bricks... most were crushed or otherwise damaged.

 

I think the attack is over, but it's hard to sit down now.

 

That old farm house was built in the early 1880's by a family that married into mine shortly after the turn of the last century......the chimneys were very stout!

DirecTV is in a contract dispute. My cable company buys half their channels from DirecTV. But DirecTV has stopped running their most popular channels -- all the ones I watch on my nights off. Contract dispute should be over in 2 days, but over 20 million are affected!

 

Not this time, Thore.

 

We just had the reverse of that here....a dispute between a local station and a dish network.....took them 30 to 60 days to come to resolution. Not as many affected and only one channel....much less than your situation. But better than having the "government" control your TV and channel choices..

 

I still have mine from my hemorrhoid surgery........I keep it as insurance I will not have to have another surgery.

I learned at from a guy at work last night that a "set" of baseball cards sells for a lot more than single cards. This guy found a whole SET from 1910, each card in a clear plastic sleeve. That's why it's worth so much.
