you do fucking realize that all fur is gathered humanely form humanely raised and bred animals and yes the meat and such IS used if not for people food then for animal feed they don just fucking throw it away so grow the fuck up and like someone esle said this isnt a peta board and if it was i would be pointing out the total fucking hipocrasy of peta that killed over 90

I'd like to know how you've reached the conclusion that fur is gathered humanely. For I've seen instances that would disprove this claim.

I've seen dogs skinned alive en masse. By alive, I mean their skin is torn from off their limbs while they're conscious. Perhaps by the standards of some this is humane for they are left alive.

I see you've done a great deal of research into the matter of red herrings. It would explain your masterful use of it.

From what I understand, the point was that Native Americans used the animal skins for practical concerns, whereas we use them only for decoration. I doubt he was promoting the use of their bones as tools.

And a steak, although a catastrophe in its own right, provides at least some legitimate contribution once taking the life of the animal, whereas the production of a fur, in this society, is the equivalent of purchasing an automobile with the intention of decorating one's front yard.

Many people still kill deer to this day with a bow and arrow made by hand without any fancy aid's to help make it WAY TOO EASY to kill a deer and then they use as much of the deer as they can. We used to feed the Wolf Pack with whatever remains were leftover.

eanhl2004 - My example for "dogs" was foxes, but wolves are dogs, too. They are of the genus (let me know if I'm using words you don't understand) "canis", which is Latin for DOG. As for your growing up next to a Pack of Wolves owned by a Sioux Indian...I'm pretty sure that there were no words in ANY Native language in America for "Indian" until the Europeans arrived and started calling them that.

With regards to animals, the following 5 rules have applied and worked very well for over 100,000 years:

1. Kill 'em.
2. Clean 'em.
3. Cook 'em.
4. Eat 'em.
5. Wear their skins.

Depending on the animal and one's own tastes, rules 1, 2, 3 and 5 are optional. Why change now?

As regards to Ms. Cyrus, rule 4 works for me.

Edit: On second thought, it's probably not, but still. It's not really the reason this thread was posted, and it's really not worth starting a flame war over, although I do agree with some of the points made here. (I'm against fur as a fashion accessory, FWIW) It's what's under the fur that counts, and I think most of us can agree that what is under this particular fur is highly desirable.

I'm assuming that you're talking about the law...as though that's a factor. It's comparable to saying that meth isn't sold in the U.S. because it's illegal. Get real buddy. It's basic economics, if there's a demand for something, regardless of the danger that's involved, it will be provided for the right price. They skin the animals in the third world because they can't do it here without causing a shit-storm if it's ever found, then they sell the furs to the most deranged materialist cunts they can find.

And from the footage that I had watched of the animals being skinned alive, it really didn't strike me as though they had any intention of eating them afterwards.
