So because she's a (now minor) celeb with tits she gets a pass while the other drug using drivers need banging up for their actions? Are you serious? If you are then you must be as dumb as she is. I'm sure if they were a politician or an athlete you'd have another opinion. The simple fact is she's breaking the law in plain daylight in public, after repeatedly breaking the law over the course of the year. Ever considered that all those traffic collisions may be down to drug use? Think with your brain, not your dick.

 

No one should be behind the wheel if they are under the influence of anything including drugs or alcohol that's not my opinion that's a fact. You wanna smoke weed do it in the privacy of your own home, this dumb ass is asking for trouble especially since she's a poor driver to begin with. The bad thing is there's a lot more where she came from they just aren't sudo-celebrities.

yeah weed is like smoking a cigarette, if you have a tolerance for it. alot of people can handle it, if weed was legal, she could of been under a appropriate limit to drive its possible

 

Less "focus power?" Where the hell did you pull that one from? Being "high" is not an overly intoxicating state. It is nothing at all like being drunk. I think that's where people get confused. You seemingly think that pot has a similar effect to alcohol, or maybe some harder drugs like heroin, but it doesn't. Even if reflexes are somewhat slower, because the smoker's judgment is not impaired, they can compensate.

wow... really? i dont drink. my stomach cant handle it and i puke. weed is a different deal. i've been smoking for 31 years. If i'm too high, i know enough to not drive. would never attempt it, as most stoners would agree. how many people are killed by drunk drivers annually????? i dont know. but i know its alot. Show me all the marijuana deaths..... whats that? you cant find any? thats what i thought. i've travelled to europe... where its legal, or at least not a crime... been that way for a while. there has been no breakdown of society. no children selling themselves to get high, or dying in a car cause mommy was stoned... get your fuckin head out of your ass for a minute and look at the facts. weed doesnt kill. alcohol kills people... thats the fuckin fact.

 

Herb's a cool dude, so I wouldn't go so far as telling him to get his head out of his ass. No need for that.

But I'm curious why he had to stick his head out of the window to follow the lines. If his vision was that impaired, it wouldn't matter where he was looking. Sounds like one of those stories that grows more and more crazy as the years get on.

Being high has a very minimal effect on your ability to drive. I don't drive when I'm high because I only get high at night before bed, and even then I only do it occasionally, but I've done enough in my lifetime to know it doesn't make me a worse driver, and in fact tends to make me focus more on what I'm doing.

 

I agree. I have been a little too high when I was younger, and I was like 1000% more careful and basically stopped very far from anything coming near.
I wouldnt recommend doing it regularly, but if you are a bit too high, the paranoia gets to you and one is generally very careful.

 

And before anyone says "That's what drinkers say too," I have driven while under the influence of alcohol once. I was working at a restaurant and had a date with a co-worker right after. We just sat at the bar for a few hours and then I took her home (dropped her off; it was all very chaste), which was only a few blocks away. Problem was that I was more than a little tipsy. Try as I might to be careful, I couldn't keep the car straight. I know the difference between intoxication and being high.

 

And a little thing called the law. Which tops your opinion.

It does in the real world, i'm not sure which one you live in at times. As many as booze? No, not even close. But writing it off is just a bit naïve. Bynes refused a test after hitting an LA County Sheriff's Dept cruiser (claimed she doesn't drink so not guilty plea to DUI, even tweeted the POTUS), who's to say she wasn't stoned after smoking shit in her car? and on multiple occasions. The two hit and runs were low speed collisions, I guess she was concentrating really hard

Weed affects different folks in different ways. When I smoked it just made me the textbook happy, hungry and paranoid. Someone else I know turned into a spaced out moron with deep psychological and anger issues as a result. Even if the weed doesn't affect her in the slightest, it's a dumb as fuck thing to do given the fact the 'razzi are following you, you keep driving into cars, you were officially charged with another two counts of hit and run the week before and have a suspended driving licence. I bet the LAPD unit that pulled her over on Sunday night when she was driving around with no lights on, have been getting the piss taken all week.
