    Many years ago, when I was just one notch above poor, I made a habit of carrying jumper cables for me. That was all I needed was to just have a willing motorist assist me and was not limited by motorist that had cables. Over the years my financial situation greatly improved, but I still carry the cables. I cannot remember the last time I used them for me, but have jump started many over the years.....I still carry them......and I hate side terminal batteries. :lol:

    A lot of people don't carry them in their trunk any more. I think that's a grave oversight. But then again, more motorists have roadside assistance plans then ever before too.

    True about the roadside service situation...I have had that now for over 20 years, but that service takes time, sometimes an hour or more. Much faster if you have your own cables. I bought high-end (really thick copper) cables. One time about 4 years ago, I came across two cars cabled together, but the car still would not start. The engine was barely turning over and their cheap cables were hot. I got mine out, hooked them up, and the car started immediately. The small cables just had too much voltage drop to get the job done. I think I paid about $35 for my cables way back then and I think K-Mart special cables were running about $12 dollars then. You may want to keep that in mind if you buy cables in the future.

    Definitely. Always buy heavy duty for anything in automotive electrical. No point in being cheap. :nono:

    Haven't Identity. I think I saw the Ultimatum, was pretty cool. Read all the books though. In fact I believe I read all of Ludlum's work while he was alive.
