PM, I think I've learned more about you reading that than I have in all the time here on phun.

I've been writing a book for nearly fifteen years now. It's part prose, poetry, short story, minisaga, ideas and words. That is exactly what I thought of as I was reading those passages. I think you should expand on that in some way. People would read that and be thankful that they did read it. What I saw there was a man who had looked at like in many forms and distilled it though his own mind and put into into ideas in the form of words.

It'll come out. Gotta dig deep to come up with that stuff.

 

Honestly, for me, the greatest help in my life for writing has been both the humble notepad and pen, always carried with me and now the mp3 player with recorder. Whenever you get an idea, phrase or whatever, get it recorded in some way. Because the chances are that later you will either lose the idea in translation or not have the motivation to put it down. Carry and mp3 player or notepad everywhere.

I'm well known as the weird big guy who stops in the middle of town to write or talk to himself.

 

Yes, if I get an idea I'll make a note of it. ... LOL @ "I'm the guy walking down the road..."
