    Indeed.....the western edge of the storm Sandy is meeting the leading edge of a very cold front.....moist air and fridged air equals a lot of snow apparently.

    yeah I've been watching it on tv Thore, before it hit landfall it hit a cold front creating all the snow!

    I saw footage of People in kayaks and canoes in New York!

    They were having building damage by mid morning today.....several hours before land fall....and a building crane had collapsed.....a lot of those large older buildings are just not built to withstand those wind loads.....
