Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    We had many power outages in Michigan from very high winds. Sustained winds at ~23-25 mph, gusts up to 60-70 mph in some parts. Light-to-medium rain for 3 straight days.

    EDIT: Waves up to 8 feet on the Great Lakes!

    EDIT 2: There was snow in northern Michigan.

    the 'storm surge'?? We are 1/2 a mile from the shore and way above sea level (25ft?? - 50ft??) there are two big inclines between us and the water. it would take a Tsunami to reach us.

    We could not escape fallen trees though. that's what got us. We hardly every lose power. A year ago August you might recall I was fine. There are two big trees close enough to squish my house - I'm happy that neither did. Both trees are on my neighbors property. There was another on my property that has me nervous it would hit one of our houses if it came down ... so we took it down,. My neighbor has yet to reciprocate. :(
