I am thrilled that the elections are over, though about 90% of the issues and persons I voted for were defeated.

In our country people are sort of blase and ok with the results---- The case being better the devil one knows than the unknown one ;-)

was a wonderful day today, and I hope tomorrow will be that too. cleaned a bit outside so it's looking like no one is living here now.. until the walk inside. got to take care of that some day too.

 

Actually, I was not happy with either of the two presidential candidates,so WTF!

 

With the good weather we are having temperature wise, I have keeping the back door open as the dogs really like that....but that means they are making many trips in and out....bringing in much more sand than normal, so I am having to vacuum twice a day now downstairs. But, I am OK with that.

 

Autumn weather here. Need for airconditioning finally over.
Nights are chilly days are beautiful with sunshine and mild weather.

 

Pretty much the same here....no AC here for two weeks now and that saves $.....only had a fire one night in my wood burning stove (my wood is free).

Considering our per capita income power rates are pretty steep here.

They aren't cheap, but know knowing your 1Kw-hour rates, I cannot compare.....in the heat of summer I pay about $400 a month for electricity of which most is for AC. I can get that below $100 in the winter as I do not have electric heat.

 

In Greece they want EU help but don't want to do anything for it in return, if the people in Greece would have payed taxes non of this would have happend

 

Well in summers at my residence where we have lots of airconditioning round the clock monthly bill during the peak 2/3 months is around 500+ dollars

 

Regrettably over here also very few people pay taxes. Its rampant corruption and I fear for our future too. These days there are steps being taken to expand the tax payers base and enhancing revenue collection by pressurising non tax paying rich people.

 

Sounds like you may be paying a higher unit price than I am, but not by a whole lot.....
