    current trees are live oaks.....next trees are water oaks and one more live oak. The like oaks are being major upper story thinning.....removing about 2/3 of the tree to allow for sun light to reach the ground under them....losing my grass, etc. The water oaks will be fully removed. I will have to rig a chainsaw on about a 25-foot pole to deal with the water oaks.

    I see what your sayin'. My Grandma had a huge live oak in her front yard, which was mostly dirt with a few sprig of grass here and there. We had to trim it up due to storm damage. Now the front is prettier than the fairways at Pinehurst. :biglaugh:

    Yes, but not much.....I have a tall two story house, so the trees were not over the house hardly at all.
