    Even as a kid I had no use for ND....especially after they were undefeated and went for a tie against Michigan State instead of a win...that was under Parsegian I think.....one hell of a long time ago. :lol:

    They get more money by being independent....don't have to share with a conference....they use to have a contract with NBC to carry all of their games...$$$$$....they have only recently began to consider joining a conference, obviously due to their poor teams for decades until recently. I suspect $$ was the reason.

    They received obscene amounts of the all mighty$$$$ for being Ind. I remember when they signed that HUGE contract w/ NBC. It was all down hill from there for all of us.
