    Yeah, just a bit. My car was covered with a layer of ice, the about 6 inches of frozen frost like you used to get in old timey freezers...i.e., not frost free. Like you, I had to chip away the frost and ice to gain access to the car then after 45 minutes of running the heater on full blast, was able to remover the ice in big clumps from the glass so I could see to drive. I had ice coming off the car for an hour after starting to drive home to Gainesville. :?

    The funny thing was is that there were 6 mid-size SUV parked all in a row at the motel. I had no idea which was mine as they all were just a big clump of frost....so thick you could see no body lines, etc. to tell the difference between my Dodge and a Honda, Ford, etc. I was able to use my remote lock/unlock that also flashed the lights and was able to detect a slight glow from my car. I was fortunate to start this process before the sun was up, otherwise, I don't think this would have worked. By the time I gained access to my car, I was frigging COLD! :shock:

    It was. One the way home, there was convoy after convoy of large electric utility trucks heading north to Atlanta to assist with the power issues.

    If you have a little "crunch" under your tires, then 4WD will work. I was talking about "black ice" or "glare ice."
