Eurovision 2013 - Bonnie Tyler sings for Britain

    80's pop star - Bonnie Tyler - who hasn't had a British chart hit for nearly 30 years,
    has been chosen to represent Britain in this year's Eurovision song contest.
    despite disappearing from the scene in her home country, Bonnie(61) has enjoyed continued success on the continent
    and hopes this will help her in the competition.
    unfortunately, the same was said about her predecessor, Engelbert Humperdinck(76), - and look what happened!
    in last year's competition he finished second from the bottom with just 12 points....
    if the video below is anything to go by,even that might be a mountain too high
    you decide... :)

    I don't recall Bonnie.... Engelbert is popular in Vegas. I saw him a dozen years back, he was quite entertaining.

    she had a #1 Billboard hit with "Total Eclipse of the Heart" back in 1983 (according to wiki)

    "Believe in Me" - had a 60-sec-taste of it...

    Like many other Eurovision songs, forgettable.

    i agree...
    Bonnie is famous for her power ballads but this song is very weak
    the line in the tune "what do you do when your boat is sinking?" seems very apt! ;)

    Bonnie Tyler came 19 out of 26 in last Saturday's Eurovision Contest....
    she scored 23 points for her song Believe In Me- a modest improvement
    on last year when the UK's entrant Engelbert Humperdinck came second from last with just 12 points

    Denmark's Emmelie de Forest won the contest with her song Only Teardrops (281 points)
