You never know; you may take a break and then decide to pick it up again. You are definitely digging in earlier than I did. I think it took be about 3 to 4 years to get to 10K, then I decided I wanted the red !, so I started working for it....rather slowly at first, but got better and more efficient with time.

I think Magge was at about 46K when I had just passed 30K.....and I believe he was a bit pissed when I beat him to 50K...

They're lying down now. Blaze has been kinda slow and lazy, and Leo seems OK now. I'll take him out in an hour or two I think.

I can't get the Wings on basic cable TV till the Tigers game is over (contractual agreement). Tigers game was delayed 1 hour due to rain. So I'm checking scores at ESPN.com.

 

Domenic is a puller. It is unbearable with a standard slip chain collar. About a year and a half ago, I got a slip chain collar especially designed for "pullers" as it is made from rectangular links that have dual prongs pointing inward. When the dog pulls and tightens the chain, the prongs poke the dogs neck. This help, but he still pulls to the point it is irritating. This morning I bought another special collar and we tried it out tonight. It is straps of leather and looks like a muzzle as it goes behind the head and around the snout. A strap runs from the part that loops around the snout and attaches to the normal dog collar with the leash connecting to that strap. I know this is confusing, but just think of a muzzle with the leach attaching at the end of the muzzle. When he attempts to pull, his head is pulled around. Domenic did not like the new collar and attempted to get it off, but he soon calmed down and got use to it.....and he never pulled tonight. It will be interesting to see how things go in the future, but it looks promising.

Both Amelie and Domenic are doing just fine.
