Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     New install of linux Mint 15 with a 256 GB sata3 SSD.

    System boot time...3 seconds.
    time to load firefox... 1.22 seconds
    time to load gimp 3.1 seconds

    I love SSD.

    Also got my 6 virtual desktops working with cursor flipping (move to the edge of the desktop and flip to another new desktop)

    gimp, inkscape, blender, scribus and all of libre office are native, and now to write an entire color schema for the window manager :)

    @Thore, it means I finally pulled win7 off my gaming/powerful laptop and put on linux (much better if you can learn it) and installed a harddrive that is flash memory instead of mechanical. SSD is about 40x as fast as mechanical in normal everyday use.

    I just noticed my light up keyboard isnt lighting up... must fix that.

    Mint 15 is the debian based distrobution of the linux OS I installed, 256GB is the size of the SSD, sata3 is the disk connection rev.

    Basically, when I get it all configured, the system will be just about instantaneous. It's like loading everything into my 32GB of system memory at once.

    SSD = SolidStateDrive

    Thanks...I do understand that..:D I have heard many knowledgeable people indicate that Linux is far superior to MS operating systems. I am curious just how difficult it would be to learn.
