    Many years ago, all the names were female. Now they are alternated between male and female, they are alphabetical and assigned in order as the storms are formed. So this is the third named storm of this hurricane season which lasts from June first until the end of November. August and September are the most active months of the season as far as the number of storms.

    Fortunately, this is predicted to just be a tropical storm and not a major hurricane.....also, a lot can happen in 5 days. It may be best for the entire southeast if the center of the storm does make land fall between Miami and Daytona and run northerly and inland. Otherwise, it could build strength and hit around Merlin....:?

    Of course the best thing would be for it to curve to the east and run harmlessly out into the open Atlantic. ;)
