Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     They say most will have power back by tomorrow night. Lots of trees on power lines, etc.

    48 hours for me.....and it is just a small home security system.....larger commercial establishments should have much more substantial backup systems. The actual sensors and alarm notifications systems do not require a great deal of power. Most have emergency backup power generators also.

    Bigger systems also have more hardware and those ask power. Security systems in stores don't have a backup generator
