It's not a good look (though she looks better with it than most would, but at least that beautiful red hair will grow back.

 

Not a fan of this at all. You need to have a very particular look to pull this off. And she shaved of her perfect long locks for Guardians of the Galaxy???

I really like Karen Gillan and my first thought was AAAAGAHHHHHHGHGHHHHHHHHHHH. But on second thought I threw up in my mouth a little.

 

She is a DrWho companion.

 

i just dont see what it is about cutting of your hair that is so daring. Also with todays computer technology they can probably make it look like she dont have any hair anyway without her shaving it off.

 

It'd be nothing to use a blue/green skullcap and digitally remove her hair - except then they have to PAY for it. In every scene she's in. For a movie that, unlike The Avengers, doesn't have the name recognition or star power to guarantee a return on investments, paying an actress a little extra to shave her head no doubt costs a LOT less than adding all that digital work.

If it had been me, I would've just made the character she's playing have red hair, but then comic purists would probably go batshit. No winning with the internet sometimes.

 

Being a WOMAN makes it daring.. because typically that is one of the biggest parts of being a woman.. besides BREASTS of course... a MAJORITY of MEN like a WOMAN with LONG HAIR.. that is just the way it is and has been for a LONG LONG TIME.. so it's very risky for a WOMAN to cut her hair off.. that being said.. with the whole GAY thing becoming more mainstream it's not as risky as it was 20 years ago.. because so many women look like lesbians or are lesbians now that it is much more widely accepted by society to be a WOMAN with short hair or a bald head...

Much cheaper to get the girl to shave the head then to CGI it!

 

With that logic it would be a big deal for me a MAN to grow my hair out long, but it isnt i have had long hair short hair it doesnt matter too me. I just feel we should have gotten so far in our society that it isnt a big deal what hairstyles we have and what lengths they might be. So if some of you fine members want to applaud her for being brave by all means be my guest but i reserve the right to shrugg my shoulders and Think so she shaved her hair off.
