    Oh yes.....a few native natives, but many that were forced down from the upper southeast by the white settlers (this is the origins of the Seminoles). The white man was never very fair to the native Americans, but when ours dropped back into the Everglades, our armies could not beat them.....can you imagine what the Viet Nam war would have been like if we had no air power?

    :yup: I don't want to go into water that is below 80F, and prefer mid to upper 80's. That pretty much rules everywhere out except the Gulf Coast and Florida's Atlantic coast. ;)

    Tonight's episode of Criminal Minds supposedly set in and around the town of La Grande, Oregon. That's where I happen to be moving to soon. I'm glad they captured that psycho before we got there. :lol:

    It's tenetive at the moment. My sister went up there to see if she could find a house for the four of us. She actually lives there (she's a professor emeritus at Eastern Oregon University), but her house is much too small. She thought she found a place she liked, but as it turns out, if you buy a second home in the same town it's considered an investment property and the law says you have to put 30% down on the purchase. So, we need to change our strategy.
