I love Cussler. The last novel I read of his describes a harrowing adventure at sea of a Chinese ferry boat laden with treasure that wound up sinking in Lake Michigan. That guy is an awesome storyteller!

I haven't watched it in a long time. The local broadcasters don't air it and I don't have cable in my room.

 

I especially like Cussler's Juan Cabrillo books, with the CIA contractor and his tramp-steamer-disguised mega-ship.

Me too. He's written so many now it's impossible to keep track.

 

Yeah, that's a great series! I've read the first three, I believe, including the Dirk Pitt novel where the characters are introduced. Very clever and exciting stuff he writes. Someone should turn it into a TV series.

 

The Juan Cabrillo series is a different series (although Pitt makes cameo appearances ). If you can find one in the Cabrillo series, give it a try.

 

I just checked... The Cabrillo books are among "The Oregon Files" books, which is what you'd see on the front cover.

 

And the Dirk Pitt/NUMA Files series is awesome, too.

 

What I mean to say is I've read a few Cabrillo novels, including the the Pitt/NUMA novel where his character was originally introduced.
