Well...it makes sense when you take into consideration the consumerist pop-culture mentality that permeates through society. But it shouldn't. We should expect certain institutions to have respectable standards. We should expect our representatives to represent our interests, but they don't. We should expect a democratic government to exist primarily for the interests of the people, but it doesn't. We should expect the media to portray an objective truth, but we know it doesn't.

I mean...they gave the fucking Nobel Peace prize to the leader of a fucking covert empire who has it's tentacles wrapped around basically every third world country on the face of the planet. Nothing makes sense anymore...if you judge it entirely from the surface. Dig slightly deeper and everything makes perfect sense.
