Most of them don't until they are made to. Those types of apps typically need to hard-code info about the how each host displays the image (each host uses a different html & URL structure) in order to make sure they get the right image and not all kinds of other stuff like logos, buttons, etc. If you are having trouble with a particular extension/addon + host, maybe post in the tech issues thread and we could look for answers.

Do you mean the video downloader one? Does it do images too? Anyway, maybe link to it directly since it's pretty vague name?

Thanks, it seems it doesn't work with Gfycat yet though at least not in the bulk downloading way (from the Phun page) as Hayaddict probably meant. It grabbed yours at DYP probably because the link leads directly to a gif. But, with Gfycat the url doesn't indicate that any kind of gif or video might be there so the link doesn't get followed. If you use the addon from the Gfycat page, it does find it then because there's a direct link to either the html5 video or the gif depending on which you have selected.

Neither DYP or Gfycat are in it's list of "supported" hosts so it just does what it can when it sees something that looks like media. To get the downloaders to work optimally, they need to know how the hosts urls are structured and where on the page to find the actual image.

But, oh well.

i'm thinking what has happened is, when i upped the gifs to dumpy, i posted them on Phun, i deleted them off dumpy, which , ( i think ), means that dumpy don't keep them in a data base....
