Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Last night I tested it with a default vB 4.2.0 install and was able to reproduce the bug, but got tired and fell asleep before checking into it more than that. Might take another look later after dinner. The dialogue can apparently mistakenly show for a number of reasons, but in the simplest of cases it's because the request is taking too long. So, basically it (probably) comes back when the server is particularly slow.

    If cayne or whoever is willing to upload a file, I could edit the JS so that the dialogue never shows even when it's supposed to and then look into a real fix in the meantime.
