Yep. I have tomorrow night off.

 

Boy, that is a walk down memory lane......

 

You have to admit there are some pretty badass trikes out there though.

 

It's a damn small world.

 

Oh right, it's Tuesday. Getting ahead of myself.

 

We went to the same elementary school together....so counting kindergarten, that would be 7 years. He was a nice and pretty much normal baby boomer of the '50's. We went to different Jr. High Schools, but got back together again at high school. By the time he was in high school, we were running in different circles....he dropped out early in his Jr. year......and the school administration was probably glad. We had dress codes back then that he just could not seem to adhere to, like no hair over your ear or collar...

 

What about a Harley with a sidecar?

His stint in the Scottsville Squirrel Barkers did not last long. In late 1963, his family once again relocated to Gainesville, Florida, when his father accepted a position as Professor of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida. Leadon attended Gainesville High School, where he met classmate and future Eagles lead guitarist Don Felder. Felder's band, the Continentals, had just lost guitarist and future Buffalo Springfield & CSNY superstar Stephen Stills. Upon Leadon's joining the group, rechristened Maundy Quintet, they gigged locally, even sharing the bill with future Gainesville legend Tom Petty and his early band the Epics (a band that also included Bernie's brother, musician Tom Leadon).

Tom Petty went on to form his band called Mudcrutch and play here locally in the latter '60's and early '70's.....several members of that band went on to play with him as TP and the Heartbreaks.

 

Unless you get the kind that have the chassy that will lean into curves, they are very hard to turn.....several women I know got standard HD trikes and gave them up after a year or so because they were just too hard for them to comfortably maneuver.

 

Cool. A lot of great talent came out of that region.

You have get the modern sort with 2 wheels up front.

 

Have a special one build so you can take the dogs with you

 

I have a few friends that have those and they love them.....that would be a consideration after discussing the machines performance with them.

 

My previous German Shepard would have loved that!
