    Tuesday, my horn assembly bracket broke after 13 years. Yesterday, will removing the bracket parts from the bike and assembly, the wrench slipped and gashed a knuckle on the sharp fracture edge of the bracket. It is really sore and will take some time to heal. I had to have the part ordered and should pick it up tomorrow....install/repair should only take 15 to 30 minutes. Glad it broke this week instead of next week. Stupid bracket costs just over $33 with tax. :shock:

    It is better than the last time I went, which was in 2010. Daytime temps only 55F with wind at 20 to 30 MPH and night time temps in the mid-40's.....at no sun and frequent light drizzle and you have a miserable week. ;)

    Initially I just wrapped a piece of paper towel around it held in place with a loose rubber band...so I would no bleed on everything....I followed that a few hours later with antibiotic cream and a band-aid. Now it is just open to the air. It only hurts when I bump it or forget and use it. :lol:
