I just got in from taking Leo out. My knee's fooked, but I have tomorrow off. I'm a little down - been thinking about Blaze.

 

I don't know why, but I thought you might be........how is Leo doing?

 

I think Leo's OK. You can tell he's getting used to the new arrangement.

 

Blaze had her favorite bone, which Leo has not touched. Normally he'd try to steal it away from her. He's just starting to lie down in Blaze's usual spots, too.

 

That is good.....

I frequently have to sit myself down and give myself a good talking to. I get to feeling really sad about the loss of my Thore.....so much so that it overwhelms the memories of what a great dog he was, all the love, fun, devotion, company and great times we had together. I refuse to let that happen. I don't think Thore would want me to forget all the good times and great relationship we had. It is for this reason that change my thought or conversation when the tears well in my eyes. I am not preaching, and must admit it is sometimes really hard.......sometime a good five minute cry just seems inevitable, necessary, and beneficial.

 

I have tears well up in my eyes (like now) quite often, thinking about her.

 

I have to stop the tears and get myself together to go to work. Reading your story put me over the top.

 

I have spent more time grieving over my dog than have any human being.....including my parents and some very close friends. That tells me that my grief over my dog has been, and I guess still is, excessive. It is just hard for me to stop. P.S. It took tow tissues for me to get thru my previous post.

 

One paper towel for me so far.

 

Well, time for me to walk my current dogs. I am sure that you will be gone to work by the time I get back, so have a safe night and drive careful, and should see you tomorrow night.

Damn washing machine was filling up when it wasn't turned on.
Turned off the cold water feed and then broke the valve for the hot water feed.

Replaced the valve tonight. Guessing there's a leak inside the washing machine, this may be out of my league
