    yes. UCONN is flawed - not enough talent in the front court ... and the guards are talented but don't always play well together. It's all about match ups with them ... if they play a team that with a great front court they could be in trouble. The need to up the talent level ... they are still hurting from the poor/late transition from Calhoun to Kevin Ollie.

    Jabari has a little bit of help, Hood and the spotty shooting of Dawkins/ Suilamon/Cook. Their problem is the bigs, Jefferson although athletic and can score, he's not a shot blocker. The final Plumlee is still too green to do much more than eat some minutes and give 5 fouls.

    I wish them well. As I mentioned before, UCONNs was thrust into the national spot light by first losing to Duke in the NCAAs and finally beating Duke in the NCAAs. Two GREAT games ... one you enjoyed and one I enjoyed! :D

    The UCONN women are the expected faves this year, too. Even with ND also being undefeated. Geno is the man!!!! :thumbs:

    Sadly, I still pull for Tenn. Not looking real good for them.

    anyone remember that fine Phun fellow WozniackiLover? I got my only Phun warning foir suggesting that his e-mail was something like "[email protected]"

    he was always saying that Carol Wozniacki was so good because she was #1 for a long time based on points gained at 2nd tier tournaments and teh fack that some of teh big players were injured/not playing much. Said Caro was gonna eclipse Ana Ivanovic's career.

    well what do you know ... a few years later Ana is ranked #13 with 3,140 points and Caro is all the way down to #18 with 2,605 points. Ana has won 1 major and although being ranked #1 for a long time, Caro has done poorly in the majors and not won any ... plus Ana is prettier IMHO. LOL :dance:

    he's a bit of a wise ass, but he graduates his players, they don't get into trouble and he has a ton of players in the WNBA. I missed the rivalry with Tennesse ... Pat Summitt refused to play UCONN anymore after Geno called them the "evil empire"! :shock:
