Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     No offense dude, but you are getting the photos for FREE. There was a time you would have to BUY a magazine or photos. Pop-ups are kinda annoying, but there are costs involved in things. You think servers and bandwidth are free? Plus, some image hosts are taking the risks of lawsuit by even hosting unlicensed photos?

    People these days think they are entitled to getting everything free of cost. It must be hard moving your cursor to the top of the screen to click the close button. SMH.

    No offense back to you either my friend, but I said insidious pop-up ads, meaning they are junk ads that are locking me out of my browser. Let's calm ourself and our tirade before we know the facts, shall we? ;)

    I agree on the junk ads. But one thing I know from experience, is most sites with the slightest kind of adult content or illegal content (stolen copyrighted images) are denied by any other kinds of advertisers. So I don't blame them from making money somehow.

    what browser are you using ?

    I use firefox with these add-ons

    Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon
    Adblock Plus
    Adblock Edge

    and they block 99.9% of the crap, i have had 4 or 5 popups in the past year all the content was blocked just had a white blank page. On most of the image host and all of the popular ones the panel adverts above and velow the main pictures are always blocked.

    Well, I browse Phun through my laptop and two devices, my iPhone and iPad. I am using Safari on each one. I guess I could try Chrome on my laptop, but on the iDevices there doesn't seem to be much of an option.

    EDIT: What 'blockers' are recommended for Safari?

    Adblock Plus and Adblock Edge are the same thing. The latter is a fork of the former, since Plus started allowing some ads by default (which can be solved by using a different filter list).

    Chrome has Adblock Plus as well, but I don't know anything about Apple mobile devices...
