Setting up your money in offshore holdings is not Tax dodging. Tax Dodging is a grey area exploited by some rich businessmen but done within the country. When you move your money out of the country its tax evasion. No country allows you to simply take your money out of the nation without accounting for it, not even if you're Emma Watson. If Emma had set up her money in places that are not tax havens like Panama, Isle of Man, Cayman Islands etc... then that would be considered her investments and she'd paying legal tax on it right now.

 

There are legitimate uses for offshore companies and trusts, it's not like when you put your money in offshore holdings your doing illegal thins at all times, that just not true...

 

You can move your money in Panama but you need to declare this count and paid tax in your country about this money.

 

She's a beautiful, young, rich woman that I think is also smoking hot. I really don't GAF about any of her other agendas...(the whole "feminist icon" title was some pretty next leve trolling tho and I laughed)

 

I worked in the Middle East for 4 years and put my US funds into a bank account in the Channel Islands. Now if I want to bring that money into the country I can only bring it in at $2,000 quantities or I have to pay tax on it and every time I do it my bank gets pissed at me because of the paperwork they have to file so that it doesn't look like I'm evading tax or money laundering. Does anyone have any useful suggestions?

It doesn't have to be. These are corporations and she could have very easily set up a corporation to handle rental property she owns in that area or even to own a 100% personal usage vacation home to limit her liability and hide who actually owns it from neighbors and paps. She could be reporting all the income back in her home country - we don't know.

The US wrote a set of banking laws and handed them to the World Bank / UN to implement for global disclosure of income and financial assets in relation to terrorism, money laundering for tax avoidance. Only 4 countries have refused to sign - 3 little islands with 1 in the gulf and 2 in the South Pacific and the USofA.

 

It's funny that when they compare pay rates between men and women, they never take experience or time on the job into account. If you leave work to raise a family (like most women do), when you come back to work a few years later, don't expect the same pay as the man who never left. And there are many female CEO's making more money than men because they put their work first before raising a family. As far as your victim blaming, there have been an awful lot of false rape allegations thrown about recently because what better way to get attention and ruin a man's life?
