The career politician was created. Can you imagine how venal and despicable one must be to become to be a career politician? Lying, cheating scumbags, each and every one.

They get in at $174,000 a year and learn the skim. Like a dummy arrested for pot put into a hardcore prison, they go to school with the pros from dover. They understand that the $174,000 is a drop in the bucket compared to the skim, graft and corruption which comes from campaign money. If you broke down the schedule of one of these mooks you would find they spend about 70% of their time campaigning and raising money, about 10% in their home district handjobbing the constiuents and 20% in congress working for the american people.

A career politician has a single goal: GET RE-ELECTED.

The average personal wealth of a member of the US congress is around 5 million, that is what is on the books..... The richest swings up to half a billion, and there are some in debt for millions. A majority of them are lawyers and bankers, lawyers still making up the largest percentage. Many came from money, so I think power and influence drives the more corrupt, and money drives the ones without rich families and big bank accounts.
