what does freedom of speech have to do with any of that? everyone got to say their opinion. freedom of speech guarantees you to be able to say what you want, it doesn't protect you from others calling you a dick for it. regardless of that, freedom of speech doesn't apply here anyway, since the owners/administrators/mods of phun can restrict your freedom of speech anyway they want to.

There are three distinct forms of Free Speech

• Platonic
• Public
• Private

Public Free speech is the most common one referenced and the one everyone infers or thinks they're refering to when debating the topic. Basically Public Free Speech is limited only by the governing authorities. That means you can say whatever you want as long as it doesn't break any existing laws.
The best example is Blasphemy laws. Its okay to deny or insult God or religion in America or China no one will aresst you it isnt a crime in those countries whereas it is in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan.
TLDR; Public Free speech is limited by the laws of the nation you reside in or are visiting.

Private Free Speech is the believed right to say whatever you want in the privacy of your own home. This is however dubious, as should a government official claim you violated the law the authority of the government supersedes your private property rights./
TLDR; Private Free Speech relies on the existence of an amenable authority. Which if not present would invalidate such a perceived right.

Platonic Free speech is the one most people refer to when discussing free speech. It is the ideal but does not exist in any real form. Our speech is always curtailed or constrained by laws or rules or etiquette.
It easy to say or claim the right to say anything but that includes the right for others to say things you find noxious or abhorrent. No such platform exists. Nor could practically exist without devolving into chaos.
TLDR; Platonic Free Speech is the idealized version of FS often motivated by individuals. It lacks any basis in reality as it is impractical to enforce or maintain.

People naturally create communities with distinct rules and etiquette and forms of decorum, whether Reddit, 4chan or Phun all Forums are modded.
