Another bump thread – Important, Please Read

wouldn't it be efficient to add to a post of one specific celeb over and over? by that i mean, even if i post a thread of say Vanessa Marcil, why would someone start a new one a few days later (even w/ new stuff) instead of just adding to the one I started?

we could have just a Vanessa Marcil thread. Period. Not a "vid clip" one days later or stuff like that i mean, then just have the thread show "updated" on it w/ the updated date in the thread title. What's wrong w/ that? It would be way more efficient for someone searching that having to through 40+ postings of a celeb to look through them to see if the stuff they want to post has been done before; it'd be easier to just look through one.

 

It's better having seperate threads. That way people can click on it if they want to. There might be a 'Jessica Alba bikini candids at beach' which will get a lot of clicks, but 'Jessica Alba walking the dogs' might only get a third as many. Having one JA thread means people will forced to click on one thread and wade through heaps of pics to find what they're after. It probably isn't the way to go.

The idea came up when GIFs were first posted, maybe make one giant thread instead of heaps of smaller ones. But the time it would take to load, it wasn't going to work. If you were to post Vanessa Marcil collection thread, then it would be good for people to add to it. Or if it was from a premiere and someone had pics you didn't post, again that would be good. But if the themes are different, it's better to have seperate threads.

And the only times there's a lot of posts to look through is when it's a realy popular celeb, and provided the pics aren't too old and people are labelling their threads correctly; the repost shouldn't happen easy to say that though!).

Jessica Alba at the beach = 1 click (if they are really new, perhaps a thousand clicks from me, but what are the chances?)

Jessica Alba All Time Thread = one click. I can't be bothered to see if new pics have been added or just new comments agreeing with me that she's perfect.

Jessica Alba GIF thread = zero clicks. What the F is up with this? Pics work nicely in jpg, thank you, and vids are optimal in video formats.

Have had to do some editing on threads with the site source in the main post, which is also in the sig. One of the points that has been addressed here. So please avoid that, especially when it's something that has been PMed to you before...

I didn't read all the replies here because I'm lazy. I did read somewhere about the thread titles. While most titles are clear sometimes it's difficult to know if certain pics have already been posted. Some posters use titles like "Jessica Alba in black dress" or "Jessica Alba, nice legs" instead of "Jessica Alba at 2007 Grammys." I think if these titles were more descriptive there would be less chance of reposts.

although.. "Paris Hilton Sextape" or "Kim Kardashian Sex Tape" are descriptive enough for me... could be a matter of lazyness...

I couldn't agree more. Many a time I've seen a thread I did not reccognize, click on it and find out just what U mentioned above. This thread was a very good idea, even for me, so I'll know more in the future, and before anyone responeds with "please read the RULES" I have several times.
