    Thought I'd take a stab at a looped version of the Fighting Irish gif above. This one has a truer (although stubbier) aspect ratio. Got rid of most of the interlace lines also. Didn't take the time to remove the logo...

    I only looked at a couple of those Gifster, but I gotta say they look pretty top notch. What programs do you personally prefer to use for making them out of vlc's? I've been using EximiousSoft, but it's kinda backwards.

    Mastermind2002 has a GIF tutorial that is 'stickied' in the 'General Forum'. It is a must read.

    After you have read Mastermind2002's guide, here is my two cents...
    1. I use DVDFab, but both DVDdecrypter and AnyDVD are just as good to put a DVD on your harddrive.
    2. Haven't found anything better than VirtualDub for extracting the caps. VirtualDub has many useful filters but my preference is to adjust the caps in photoshop. The only filter I frequently use in VirtualDub is the de-interlace filter (most needed when capping recorded TV shows). 'Deinterlace - smooth v1.1' is a free plug-in that blurs less than 'deinterlace blending'. If the source is large enough (and the interlace lines are bad) 'deinterlace discard' and then resize can work well. One last caveat is that VirtualDub's default is to cap the video's source size (not the aspect ratio in the ifo file). So sometimes you may need to 'resize' for the proper aspect ratio.
    3. I use Photoshop to adjust sharpness, brightness, contrast, noise and sometimes color and/or size. If you sharpen, do any resizing first. Resizing a sharpened image will blur the sharpening (cropping won't change the focus of course). I set up an 'action' routine and then let the 'batch' function automatically run my adjustments on all the caps. Make sure you like every cap before you open the GIF program (garbage in, garbage out).
    4. If you have Photoshop you also have Image Ready which is very similar to Ulead Gif Animator 5. I've tried a handful of gif making programs and those are the only two I like.

    I already went through the first two seasons of "The Osbournes" and didn't come across anything with Kelly bouncing her tits. I still have The Osbournes: Season 2 1/2 DVD's to go through. If I find anything good on those DVD's I'll make some GIFS for you, if not then I won't be able to help you.
