Frances Gifford - Jungle Girl (1941)

Once upon a time, in the olden days, before television, they had this wonderful thing called "movie serials".

Here´s a little clip from one silly but quite entertaining serial, "Jungle Girl" (1941), starring the not-unattractive ms. Gifford as Nyoka (the Jungle Girl, naturally). Seen here before

Excellent work my equally-questionable-taste friend. Yes, these are definitely "niche" pieces.

They remind me of sitting in front of our console black and white tv and praying with the feverishness that only a 14 year old can muster, "please let her boobie come out, please let her boobie come out, please let her boobie come out".

Who knew that one fine night my prayers would be answered. I remember the shock, and subsequent satisfaction, of watching one of the old Hercules movies I believe it was, with the ground-breaking stop motion animation of Ray Harryhausen, and in one fight scene "her boobie came out!".

I'm not sure how it ever got past the censors and although I can't remember the title of the piece now, I made sure to watch it every time it came on.

 

Oh, to be 14 again! The golden days of youth long gone and sorely missed! When women were a mystery, and you didn´t yet have enough sense to be ashamed of your ignorance.
