**ATTENTION STREAMING VIDEO POSTERS**​

Due to SEVERAL complaints, and in general the total and complete lazyness involved in hosting and/or posting streaming videos on this board, we the mods (and ME espessially because I HATE streaming vids), will be insisting on a few things.

1. "Streaming" (the word) must accompany the video title when posting.

(Example: Streaming video of girl masturbating on webcam)


If the word "Streaming" is not in the title and is found to be a streaming video, the video will immediately be trashed, and the member will be given a warning for having not done so. If the same member does it again, the video will be trashed and they (the member) will be given a week ban from the forums. Third time is a month, fourth and the member in banned for good.

It should be up to the members to decide whether they want to download the vids (preferable using a host such as RS, or MU, or other ...except for any pay-per-click hosts)

2. If they (the streaming vids) do not include GOOD screen caps, they will be trashed immediately. Same penalties as above if poster does not follow these rules.

3. If the streaming video site includes pop-ups/unders and/or spyware, adware, viruses or anything that may be considered harmful and a hastle to the members......they also will be trashed and the poster will be IMMEDIATELY given a month ban from the board. If they do it again.....permanant ban.

I ask for help from ALL the members on this one as well, not just the mod team. If members notice a video that violates these rules please add a link to that video either here or in the forum issues thread HERE

I (and I'm sure other mods) will be spending the next couple days trashing an ass load of threads from the video forum because of this situation.

Lets keeps this forum clean from Bullshit like this, and make it fun again surfing our little video forum.

I'm not playing, and will be on the damn warpath for the very near future myself. I don't make stickies and spend 4-5 hours trashed threads for my own good. Those that can't figure that out will just have to find themselves somewhere else to post.

One more thing all you Streaming Video guys.

Be carefull what videos you are linking the members to. I have already banned a couple guys for posting banned material. Just because they are streaming vids hosted elsewhere does not give you the OK to post it here.

About time. Its not hard to download a streaming vid either with one of several programs or an online site that does it for you like http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php then upload it.

 

This rule appeared on the 11th? If so I would love to know just one thing, did all the other members that posted like me get their threads trashed? It's one thing to be hosted on YourPornTube or whatever that site is called and another on yourfilehost for instance. On yourfilehost you can download the movie or just watch it. Maybe you could have given us some time to put that "streaming" in the title of the threads instead of trashing them immediately. There are a lot of people uploading on Rapidshare and few people actually have rapidshare memberships. Most of these vids are not really downloaded because of this. What I am actually asking is what is the problem with yourfilehost? It is both streaming and download link to the movie. You get to choose, it's not like it's hosted on porkolt with embedded movie in a web page.

Anyway, VBulletin has a pretty nifty option of emailing members. I think this was one of those cases in which such an email should have come. I worked hard to upload these STREAMING videos and make screenshots for each and every one of them just so that people can download them because this Rapidshare alternative is not good for everybody. I really do not have time to rename all the threads now but then again, there is almost no thread left te re-name. I was away, entered here only for some seconds this past week because I had huge problems and now this. I received the PM today, 4 days after the post of the thread and the lack of notice was disturbing from my point of view.

You didn't even give people a chance to read about this in time to change the threads, you went right on and trashed them. I do not think this is fair, especially related to Yourfilehost. Is it better for me to post a movie from Bangbros online let's say, hosted on Rapidshare and with the writing removed so that people do not notice that and then create problems than me uploading movies (most of them without coypright or need of this) on yourfilehost?

Anyway, it is your choice, I totally respect it but I really have no reason to spend money on Rapidshare to upload movies for other guys' masturbation wishes. And another recommended host is keepmyfile. How can I trust such a hosting site that allows adult video archives to be uploaded and has Google adsense ads on them? No TOS or anything will save them when Adsense dumps the site for infrigment of the contract. Adsense does not allow their ads on sites with adult content and then how are they going to pay for everything. And also, KeepMyFIle who's pages don't always work, will eventually go down, this is for sure and why should I host the videos there if this is the case?

Sorry if it seems like I am attacking, I received this PM saying I had around 50 threads trashed and it was all for nothing. I could have easily renamed them. ANyway, it doesn't matter anymore, please answer to the question above so I know what to do! This news here upset me and actually made me very sad. I have huge respect for Phun.org forum and always loved what you did but this quickness in deleting everything was really dissapointing. I really can not even work anymore after I read that PM and this thread and will probably go to bed. I received a hell lot of replies to these threads saying "thanks" and that they enjoyed the videos. This is what made me happy and why I kept posting these threads and now they are deleted. I actually needed some links from those posts that were trashed because one of my hosts was hacked today and I lost a lot of links that I only posted here. Now I have to upload everything again, I counted on this until I got to make a switch but it happened to late I see. I already wrote too much, please tell me at least what size, quality, thumb quality or anything does the streaming video need to be for it to be considered ok?

I'm gonna try and address each of those "questions":

1. Even with yourfilehost, the video will start to stream before given the opportunity to choose whether you want to download it or let it stream. Virtually all streaming vids can be downloaded if you know where to look after you've watched them.....The point is, MOST don't want some video just streaming onto their computer without having the opportunity to choose so or not.

2. You grossly underestimate the numbers of members here that have RS memberships, just because you have chosen not to take advantage of that doesn't mean that others did the same.

3. Those who actually take the time to upload the videos to whatever file hosting service they are using (RS, MU, KMF, etc...) and take the time to make up screen caps, give information about the video, REALLY hate seeing their hard work get bumped down to the bottom of the first page after an hour or two because YOU and other members such as yourself post up 10-20 videos within 10-20 minutes of each other. Hotlinking a picture from another site, and posting a link back to it takes seconds, whereas uploading a video and doing the caps, etc, can take ......well sometimes hours. Quality on streaming vids sucks ass most of the time, as opposed to uploaded videos, clips.

4. Your not the only one that was affected, I have personally trashed maybe 1200 threads since the 11th., and probably 1/10th of them had banned content on them because alot of the streaming video guys choose not to pay any attention to our rules or stickies and don't realize some stuff can't be posted. Many of these guys have also earned themselves complete bans from the forum.

5. A good screen cap. How about something that gives us a little information about the video that they are about to watch, not a single pic with the words, girl takes it up the ass.???WTF. It would be nice to know how long the vid is, what type of video, format, etc.. If you were to go back about a month to alot of these streaming video threads, the little caps that most had (have) used, are now little red x's, because the site has moved shit around, or they can't handle the bandwidth from our site. If you can't find a host where the caps are going to stick around a little longer, than the threads will get trashed again.

6. Emailing members.....hmmm, 142,208 members are not gonna get some mass email from us. Logistically can't happen. And we're not going to PM everyone that may be using streaming vids.

7. Just because your cutting off the watermark on a video doesn't make it any less a copyright issue......be honest.

8. Some of the members who had their threads trashed have had past issues with video posting and conversations with mods, some have seen their account be banned in the past....remember?

9. Your host going down and it being OUR problem, is another reason why the streaming stuff is just bad news.......your really only trying to redirect traffic to your site, or a site that you are helping promote, for the one of a couple reasons, either to make money or make someone else money. That's against the spirit of this forum. We want to share with everyone, not try to promote something that would make us rich......how fair would that be if WE did that here?

 

there have been chances for everyone to be "pre-alerted" since this issue didn´t start to get annoying in march.
this thread has been sticky for almost the whole january and for some days in february.
don´t tell you haven´t been "warned" and you didn´t have time to think about adding this simple "stream" in the titles.
i personally don´t mind streaming vids, but i like to be able to know in advance if i klick on a stream or a download. and i´m sure i´m not the only one.
and on top of that - a cap and/or some basic infos like filesize/format/duration also help to choose from the "menue", right?

and a personal note: why do we always have to threat with "punishment" and "ban-stick"? i don´t get it.

 

I do have rapidshare membership and I tried to post correctly the past months. I don't think that I broke any rules these past months and I did see good threads going down because of one streming video posts. That is not fair, I agree but please don't acuse me of doing that. For the past months I tried to post in the same thread to keep it all fine. I am guilty for when I started posting; I made mistakes then, I admit that.

This happens unfortunately, I owned a forum like this, it was going quite great and eventually had to close it down I know how much you work and I totally respect that as Phun forum is one of the best of its kind I know.

I did get the answers I wanted so thanks for that I did not actually try to sound as I did now that I have re-read what I wrote. Thanks, I will comeback to post soon as I am going on a holiday after a long long time. Have fun everybody, thanks again!
