It isn’t right, and more could definitely be done regarding this issue, and I’m as skeptical as to the lobbying movements of groups such as the NRA as anybody else.

Oh ffs... Card carrying "Conservative" as usual giving keeps than a fuck as soon as the baby's out of the womb! These kids and this March are NOT about anyone "cummin fer yer gunz" you halfwit! This is about 16-17 year old CHILDREN sick and fucking tired of going to HIGH SCHOOL and wondering if they're going to be able to go home that day, this is about parents sending their CHILDREN and wondering the same fucking thing, they don't want YOUR guns they want it to be harder for some sick fuck to get a goddamned assault rifle and going to the next school and blasting away because some coward can't take this shit he calls "life" anymore and rather than doing himself? He decides to live his limp dicked dream of killing a whole bunch of people like he's seen in too many movies/video games/TV shows that he's finished with a handful of moms hand lotion and a box of tissues!! Do yourself us/the world a favor? Stfu, turn off Hannity, Tomi Lahren, Tucker fucking Carlson or whoever you're listening to from Fox "news" or the NRA channels and DO NOT BREED!! Because God forbid YOU should have a child and wonder the EXACT same thing then blame Obama/Hilary or whoever those pundits have spoonfed your simple mind as being responsible! This isn't about Trump/Clinron/Sanders/Stein you dumb fuck... THIS? Is about children wanting to survive until their next prom, people who want to go to church/the movies/a goddamned ball game, or a mall and getting home ALIVE! Jesus Christ the only name that comes to mind here is "Lemming Cunt"!! And don't even bother trying to say "But Obama..." he TRIED to pass legislation a few times and was shot down by whom? A REPUBLICAN Conservative controlled Congress! Funny how history works ain't it?? It's easily researched and readily available

I'll contribute some free advice. People are more likely to resonate with any points you make if you deliver them in a calm and civil manner, instead of telling people you disagree with about politics to never breed.

I'm PRAYING he/she doesn't breed, but just you wait now they're going to vomit back some asinine Fox news drivel while calling me a "liberal loon/tard or snowflake" as if being a liberal (which I'm not) isnt so bad, granted they too get carried away with all the emotional bullshit BUT when they snap? They go on Prozac or something, because that's their mindset if you're not a right wing nutbag who masturbates with gun oil and a freshly microwaved steak then you're "lib'ral" I own three guns and not once have I pointed them at anyone in anger/cowardice I'm just so sick and tired of their backward thinking bullshit. I apologize for the insult you did nothing wrong aside from being a li'l condescending.

Point1- it limits the easy of use for ppl to get high capacity assault rifles. If you better prevent potential mass shooters then that prevents the need for civilian shooters.

Point2- how do you get to policy when politicians are already shooting down any real reforms?

I saw a post on Twitter that said “First world problems are when you march to have rights taken away.”

I own guns. Not one time have any one of them stood up and shot anyone. I tried to make it. I insulted it, bribed it, and yet it just sat there on the table like the inanimate object it is.

The guy who blew himself up in Texas the other day killed two people and had Austin, Texas on edge for nearly 3 weeks because he made bombs at home. My point is guns aren’t the problem. If a person wants to kill someone they will find a way. OJ Simpson didn’t use a gun and yet he brutally killed two people. Allegedly. Age limits don’t work either. You have to be 21 to buy alcohol and we all know no one under 21 drinks in the U.S.

The big question of "Why is nothing ever done?" is simple to answer: money. See, here in the U.S. we don't have a true democracy, we have legalized bribery. Our government officials for the most part aren't their for us mere citizens, they are there for whoever gives them their big paychecks and one of the biggest bribers is the NRA and gun manufacturers. And they want more guns sold and they don't give a damn how many people get killed because that just means more money for them and then they give it to their lapdogs AKA congressmen and women. That's why after Parkland happened, the Florida legislature promptly stopped even discussing a bill to limit/ban AR-15 assault rifles so they could instead go forward with more pressing business like declaring porn a health hazard(this isn't a joke, it actually happened). And this was despite some survivors being in attendance that day. Not to mention the legislator who derided and criticized anyone listening to the know-nothing kids and saying basically they should shut up and let the adults handle it, and what a coincidence that she has an A+ rating from the NRA, which results in her supplementing her income with their money for being so soulless as to criticize shooting survivors in order to please her masters.

As for my opinion; I see the extremes on both sides as equally crap. I am not one of those liberals who just wants to ban all guns, I am also not one of those conservatives who think everyone should be armed Call of Duty style. I see them both being part of the damn problem tbh. The people who blame liberals for all mass shootings or call the survivors actors or call them a false flag or whatever need to get their heads out of their ass. The people who blame conservatives for all mass shootings and call them all racists and bigots need to get their heads out of their ass. I personally am for banning assault rifles like the AR-15, if you need that to hunt then you're a crappy hunter or you're going after beasts from another planet. There is no need for a civilian to have that kind of firepower. "But what if the government gets uppity?"; yeah, you have an assault rifle and they have cruise missiles, predator drones and stealth bombers, good luck with that.

Going off-topic, sorry. And btw, the one(s) earlier blaming mentally ill Democrats for all mass shootings and whining about rights being infringed on are probably the same ones who walked around with effigies of Obama with a noose around his neck and talking about 2nd amendment solutions while he was President(and I'm far from his biggest fan) so I take anything they say as the latest evidence that our mental health system is seriously lacking and ignore.

Boy there's a lot of anger in you, buddy. You might need to get that checked out because your "outrage" and frivolous name calling mean absolutely nothing to me, or any rational person. These "kids", including the bobble-headed one who looked a hell of a lot like Hitler giving a salute after his speech, are nothing more than pawns being used by the left, much like the DACA recipients (what ever happened to them, anyway? last I checked Trump offered 1.8 million dreamers a pathway to citizenship, and the left turned it down. guess they never really cared about them, just their votes). Btw, why do you have such an issue with Fox News? Is it because you'd rather listen to MSNBC or CNN who have been actively indoctrinating people against Trump for the last two years? Nah, I think I'd rather listen to the folks who at least gave him a sliver of a chance to beat Hillary "can't walk down a flight of steps without twisting her ankle, but people think she was fit enough to be President" Clinton, didn't rush to call him "racist" "sexist" or "Islamaphobic", and instead LISTENED to his ideas on how to fix things the first half-black President broke within the country.

So yeah, you can chill, relax, go take a seat, pop a pill, take a drink, or whatever you need to do, but as I said before, your anger means nothing to me, because logic will always "trump" emotion. Much like the second amendment will never be infringed upon based on the "thought processes" of young adults whose brains aren't even fully formed yet. For the 5 minutes I could stomach of MSNBC yesterday, I saw a lot of "Fuck the NRA", "Fuck Trump", "typical liberal talking point", etc, and a whole bunch of people who knew nothing about guns. It was hilarious how they'd rather blame the inanimate object, as opposed to the deranged democrat wielding it, tho. It was pretty much the "woman's rights" march sans pussyhats. Same uninformed women of all ages, same bearded soyboy enablers, funded by the same political party/leftist celebs, and given massive coverage on the same liberal outlets. Btw, Trump said he's going to ban bumpstocks. That will mean he's done more on the gun control front in 14 or so months, than Obama did in 8 years. It's nice having a man who's more than just talk, as President.

Anyway, it's also weird how these "tolerant" news networks are actively shunning the Parkland survivors who..... wait for it....... are pro-gun, and believe that more armed security would've saved more lives, especially since the coward sheriff and his stooges did nothing to stop the shooter. I don't even think its been a week since another mass shooting was PREVENTED (I believe in Maryland) by an ARMED and TRAINED security guard who took the shooter out after just 2 kids were injured. Fact of the matter is, criminals don't care about gun laws, so people need to be prepared in case something happens. Instead of you calling me a "lemming cunt", maybe you should be thinking about all the children's lives that the ARMED security guard saved, as opposed to trying to "shame" me for the FBI/Sheriff's failure to act on the MANY tips they got on Nikolas Cruz.

I wonder if its a coincidence that only ONE side of the argument was allowed to have a platform during this "March for Our Lives". Maybe they should've changed it to, "March for the Lives... of the People who Blindly Agree With Our Point of View". Nah, that wouldn't have fit on the shirts. Anyway, good day to you, sir.

And this point of view will be given time and time again..
The availablity of firearms is the problem and if you don't understand that then so be it.

And so it will carry on..
America is apparently the leader of the free world yet children are being slaughtered by a gun policy that any despot in any rogue third world country would be proud of.

Be part of the solution not part of the problem.

Good point, I heard Kyle Kashuv, one of the pro-gun Parkland survivors was actually assaulted for going to the march, which is just even more hilarity from a group that preaches 'tolerance'. I wished there were more people with signs condemning the shooter himself or asking questions of the Sheriff and his department who were fatally incompetent.

But no, they all want a big, easy target like the NRA they can all rally behind to feel like they're 'fighting the power'. Laying the blame on the NRA every time someone crazy kills people with a weapon (The AR-15 is NOT an assault rife for gods sake!) is like blaming McDonalds every time someone suffers from obesity related health problems.

Every big liberal leaning march like this basically devolves into a "fuck Trump" march anyway.

    1. AR-15 is an assault weapon. The proper definition of "assault weapon" is any weapon that is at least semi-automatic. I know the gun supporters always refuse to accept this definition, but it's a fact.

    2. The NRA does not work for the people. They work for their donors. Their donors are the arms manufacturers. Arms manufacturers love when people kill people with guns because it causes fear. Fear = more gun purchases = more profit = higher stock prices. That is why they continuously buy off the Grand Old Pedos (official name for the GOP) in Congress. These members of the Grand Old Pedos continuously refuse to implement sensible laws that over 90% of the populace supports like universal background checks (to keep crazy fucktards from getting guns in the first place), removing gun show loopholes, and banning bump stocks, extended clips, and assault weapons (3 things used to kill even more people in a far shorter time frame), or disallow people on the Terrorist Watchlist from legally getting guns (Yes, Paul Ryan (speaker of the House) has been fighting this ever since he got into office). The Republican politicians are completely bought by the arms manufacturers and that's why thousands of people are dying by crazy assholes with guns.

There are MANY things to say "fuck Trump" to, but this isn't anywhere near the major Drumpf issues.

Totally agree about getting corporate money out of politics, that goes for the NRA and other major donors. Both parties are doing it and both to detrimental effects on occasion for the populace.

I'm not preaching but this is just for context...

In England and Wales in the 12 months to March 2016, British police discharged their firearms on just seven occasions, the statistics, released on Thursday show.

This figure is actually a record, of sorts. In the same period ending in March 2013, firearms were used only three times. In the 2015 period they were used six times. Seven uses of weapons is the highest since at least 2009.

Britain’s police do not routinely carry firearms; instead, specially trained firearms officers are rapidly dispatched to incidents where a threat is reported. The United States of course has a bigger population than the UK – Britain has 64.1 million residents, the US 319 million. But on a per-capita basis, Britain’s rate of police gun use would translate into US police using their guns on 35 occasions in an entire year. This would be an unthinkably low number.
The overall picture in Britain doesn’t mean police shooting incidents do not happen. The fatal shooting by police of 29-year-old Mark Duggan in 2011 prompted an inquiry and criticisms of misconduct. The shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes also provoked controversy. Campaigners have also long highlighted statistics showing a pattern of deaths in police custody.

But the scale of such killings is undoubtedly of a different order to that in the United States.

You now we pride ourselves with giving our members alot of elbowroom in debates in this section as such we only request that we give one another a bit of respect. We can always change this and be more strict and go down harder on flaming comments like this. Is my point coming across?:)
