    I haven't bought a firearm in 5 years. Got all i needed for now, although i am looking into possibly purchasing a semi-auto shotgun soon. That and maybe a 22lr pistol for plinking. But those are things i really don't have to have considering i already got a bunch of other firearms.

    So you hunt at all besides the 2 legged critters?

    Yea, haven't done uch hunting in Texas other than turkey and duck. I used to live in Kansas though and hunted deer and pheasant a lot up there. Turkey hunting is where you're semi-auto shotgun comes in handy.

    and of course I love dove hunting!

    How would a semi help you with turkey? the recoil or the follow-up shot to see if you can get a double?

    Generally where I hunt turkey you have limited mobility cause of brush, don't have to worry about pumping that next round if you need it.

    i got an over-and-under. The area i go turkey hunting at they are so dumb after you shoot one you usually have time to shoot for another. That and i never had to use camo to hunt them before. :lol:

    The one thing i miss most that i haven't hunted in a long time is doves. Up at where I go it is either feast or famine. Some years i can bring up 1,000 shells and use them all up in 1 day. Other times i can go up and if there was a cold spell 1-2weeks prior to opening day i'd see absolutely nothing. The past 3 years have been like that for me. I jkust hope we get a good long hot spell all through August leading up to september 1st.
