Thanks everyone for your warm posts - much needed with the cold winds blowing last night, I'm still thawing out after a walk along the Main Beach strip at 2am with far to little clothing on

80k at the G is superb, but surprisingly, the A-League final was right up there for me in terms of great crowds.

Very nice, Aussie girl is showing the world down under talent.

Techinically its a 5hr flight from Perth to GC in terms of distance.
What makes it a bad flight from Perth is that there is no direct flight, its either fly to Brisbane then another hr flight to GC or you fly to Sydney and catch a connecting flight, pretty much at least going to be 6 hrs and you can go NYC to LA in 4.5 hrs.
Heres the bad thing about Australian flying, because of the wind patterns it takes longer to fly east to west so add an extra hr for return.

Not to mention that on the return to the west, one is usually severely hungover and in need of a long sleep in ones own bed
