I wish people would learn how to sneeze into a hankie.
Instead of (since I've been back at work) sneezing all over me.

In shops, the Underground, the street and now I feel lousy
and I think I've got the beginnings of a Strep throat, so seeing
a Doctor tonight as I have a history of them and i don't want to
let it take hold.

Elle has been looking at me (thanks) I put the pics on my desktop for the day.

The question is if people have hankies and if they know how to use them.
My brother, for example, use them to clean stuff. If he has to sneeze, he uses his forearm or turn his head to the other side...

I can sometimes begin to understand why people wear surgical masks!!

Got phone consultation with Doctor, since I now have pains in my legs and major headache, she thinks it's a cold, so monitor and report back if necessary.

Me too, I stayed in bed until 10.
Woke up at 7 but there was a power outage. Fuck it! I went back to bed.

There is plenty of headcolds going around here as well. And i reckon its flu times soon. But so far i have dodged tough colds. Knock on wood as they say.

 

Yeah read today there's a different strain of flu (different from this years flu jab) arriving next month.

 

Ahh, going to bed for a while sounds nice. Unfortunately, I'm at work despite an ice storm and now we're gonna get snow on top of it. But since I have zero excused absences left to use, I guess I'll just transform into a penguin so I can fucking get to and from work!

Sorry, I hate corporations though. There's no reason for people to have to go out in this or get fired.

Ok, it's like this, I'm in "feel good, feel crap, feel good and feel crap" mode.

But yesterday I set up a BT wifi extender (you don't need to be a BT customer)
it was very easy to set up and unlike some more expensive models (this was
£19:99) two buttons, (WPS button on modem and second button on the extender
and that's it), I highly recommend it.

Films I've seen recently:

"A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood"
"Tom Hanks Is Mister Rogers In This Timely Story Of Kindness Triumphing Over Cynicism.
A Jaded Magazine Writer Learns About Kindness, Love & Forgiveness".

Ok, call me a jaded cynic (and Fred Rogers is virtually unknown this side of the Atlantic ).
But it left me cold, Hanks is a safe pair of hands, but I found the real Fred Rogers creepy and was a guy
who got lost playing a kids TV character, when below the surface there was an emotional volcano waiting to blow.

His "I feel your pain" act, was more about him, than what the journalist was going through.

Based on a true story, yes, but maybe I've seen one too many similar "heartwarming stories".

Knives Out.
"A modern whodunit, the film follows a family gathering gone awry, after the family patriarch's death leads a master detective to investigate".

I loved this, even if it take a while to get going but once it does its great, brilliant old school
ensemble cast, loved Christopher Plummer who plays repulsive well (I've got a story about him in a moment) cast.

I loved Chris Evans playing someone other than Captain America.

I couldn't get over how the talented Ana de Armas looked like Georgia May Foote's long lost twin Sister.

But Daniel Craig (he should of got a Golden Globe) as the "Master Detective" was a revelation and much more to him as an actor than 007.

Its old school yes, but once it gets going I'd highly recommend it.

Christopher Plummer was booked to do a radio interview with my Dad and never turned up.

 

They are planning sequels revolving around his character

 

Lets just write that i didnt think much of knives out it was fairly run of the mill. But i dont want to start anything here to ruin the mood.

 

You're not, it took at least 30 minutes to kick in and while enjoyable it wasn't remarkable.

But I'm delighted there's going to be Daniel Craig character spin offs.
