Delighted for her and Florence, gutted Greta was overlooked again!!!

 

I have a hunch scarlett or renee gets it in the end but fun for Saoirse.

 

Florence was asleep when she got the news on her nomination.

Just seen "Little Women", really liked it, (but I loved the Winona Ryder version) not sure the non linear approach entirely works.

But Saorise was amazing and lives the role of Jo, Florence so deserves the Oscar nomination along with Saorise.

Emma Watson acted her way through (her American accent seemed to come & go) strangely enough Timmy left me cold, like Emma they gave similar performances as they have done in other films.

I was under the impression, that Emma wasn't in it that much, but she had much the same screen time as Florence.

I still don't understand why she didn't promote it (both Laura Dern & Meryl Street did), but Watson didn't.

 

Its anybodys guess who gets it in Florence category. Sure Dern won at the globes but it could go either way there. Maybe Kathy Bates?

 

Onto ep3 of "His Dark Materials", really enjoying it.

And they're filming S2 in Wales at the moment.

I would say this seems like something you would do, but I think Oscar nomination or no, you'd be like "fuck it, I'm going back to sleep" lol.

And need I say I love Florence even more now

 

If I was in that bed with Florence I wouldn't be sleeping.

 

I don't think any of us would lol. She is certainly not shy, another reason I'm digging her more and more.

speaking of smokes it really scares me a bit they seem so adamant to play the open despite the fumes from the fires near Melbourne. A number of players already have problems with breathing and coughing as a result. I like the Australian Open as much as the next sports enthusiast but is it really worth it if players health are at risk. Just postpone it to next year and focus on the fight against the fires instead.

 

I think it's crazy to continue the Melbourne Open. When it's got to effecting people in their daily life, how can they expect players to cope with a match that lasts hours.

 

Sporting events have been moved before due to natural disasters, wars, etc. so why can't this one? I know it'd be off to have the Australian Open somewhere besides Australia, but the health of everyone is more important. Just put it in a different country and keep the name as is and send some of the proceeds to Australia relief efforts all as a sign of respect and honor towards the namesake of the open.
