My tribute to my all time favorite Women in Prison Movie: Under Lock and Key

This post is a kind of a labor of love, a tribute to my adolescence. When I was a kid the only hope I had to seeing sex and nudity was on late night Showtime (this was, of course, before the internet). One of the best movies for my purposes, and one I still remember fondly to this day, is Under Lock and Key. There's nobody even vaguely famous in it, but it adheres beautifully to some of the best cliches of the women in prison genre: the innocent prisoner with the heart of gold, evil gangs, sadistic guards, lots of shower scenes and, of course, tons of gratuitous nudity. I was thrilled to see that this somehow got released on DVD and I made the following clips.

The "plot," as you might guess, is pretty much absurd. The heroine is an FBI agent, played by Wendi Westbrook, who goes undercover as a prisoner to help protect the evil drug dealer's girlfriend, played by the stunning Stephanie Ann Smith, who has some kind of secret that everyone is after. The girlfriend is eventually killed in a botched prison break, leaving Ms. Westbrook to infilitrate the drug dealer's empire.

In the first clip, played during the opening credits, it's wakeup time at the prison and a perfect opportunity for us to meet Sara (played by Ms. Smith), who naturally sleeps topless in very small panties. It's a quick peek, but don't worry, she is naked in practically every scene she does.

In the second clip, the evil Zelda (Trisha Berdot) has been released from solitary and she celebrates by, what else, taking a shower.

After Zelda gets clean, she orchestrates a fight between two inmates as cover for her own assault on Sara. Before threatening her, however, Zelda considerately rips open Sara's shirt, providing us with some very impressive visuals.

In the fourth clip, Danielle (the FBI agent played by Westbrook) has been made Sara's new cellmate. All the better to watch over her, I presume. In any case, Danielle celebrates her new housing assignment by promptly changing her shirt.

In the next clip, Danielle and Sara visit the showers together, providing us with all kinds of great B-movie nudity goodness. Danielle talks about how much she's looking forward to her conjugal visit while Sara starts to open up about her evil sex. Unfortunately for them, they're interrupted by the evil lesbian prison guard, who takes the opportunity to do a cavity search on Danielle. No, you can't make this stuff up.

Moving on, it's now Sara's turn to be roughed up by the evil lesbian guard. For our purposes, it's another excuse to see Ms. Smith jiggling and full-frontal.

The next scene is, IMHO, the best nude scene in the film. In order to be transfered, Sara has to be inspected by the prison doctor to make sure she wasn't injured in Zelda's assault. Naturally, the only way for her to do this is to strip completely naked in the middle of his office. Ms. Smith's IMDB resume only includes two films (this and another women in prison epic) but she has a very pretty face and a magnificent body.

In our next clip we have Danielle and her conjugal visit, which, of course, is the only way for her to discuss the progress of her case with her partner (posing as her husband). It wouldn't be convincing if she didn't get naked, right?

Danielle eventually gets out of prison and heads to her apartment, where she relaxes and blows off some steam (no pun intended) by taking yet another shower.

Once the film moves out of the prison, it tries to morph into a chicks-kick-ass action movie. It fails miserably, of course but the writers manage to cram one more nudity-friendly plot twist into movie's the later stages: the evil drug dealer is also a fashion designer, allowing us to see the following topless photo shoot with Sai Tyler.

No can do.

Two reasons:

1) I like this board and I'd hate to get banned for so flagrantly violating the rules.

2) The rest of the movie sucks. Believe me, anything worth seeing is already posted.
