They should've stuck with the muted color tones, now it just looks like bad cosplay, especially since the bust is 3 cup sizes larger than her actual chest.

 

Maybe with a pole and shower of singles.

 

I saw this earlier and thought it was a really tame deepfake

 

They went brighter because 80s setting.

 

It feels like a strange echo to Captain America in the first Avengers movie. I get what they were going for and they even covered it by suggesting closet nerd Colson designed it, but the bright blue costume on Captain America felt really off. They nailed it for his first film and got it back on track right after.

Feels the same here but like so much of this movie it seems bizarre that the same creative team worked on both Wonder Woman movies.

Still, Gal is such a great choice even if the second movie is a mess.

 

The DCCU has been off for so long I don't know if they'll ever get back on track if it's not a Batman or Aquaman (who saw THAT one coming?!) Etc stand alone movie it all just seems rushed like their biggest concern is only making money and not the story telling and it shows, like Marvel is going to take it all or something? I don't know I watched the Snyder cut of Justice league today and liked it far more than the Joss Whedon version, you could see and feel his love for the DC universe albeit WAY over time but with some editing I can see how it would have been 2 movies. The main reason the Whedon version sucked is because the execs at DC took all of Snyders work and story and said "here make a blockbuster out of this in X amount of time" it wasn't Joss's story, his heart wasn't in it and how could it be? He did the best he could, when he shouldn't have taken the job in the 1st place. I'm not usually Zacks biggest fan his movies are GORGEOUS to look at but with zero depth usually this was not that, I'm actually looking forward to more from him. That being said STILL haven't seen WW84 but Gal Gadot pretty, the costume was meant to reflect the neon everything was in the 80s imo lol

 

Still yet to watch ZS cut on weekend (though i liked MoS while BvSoJ not so much) still must comment that ANY JW product is actually "big mac" - okayish and "done according to recepy" but ...after one got fed up on his usual moves and tricks in his series' one usually undestands that this is not chef's cuisine but industrial grade fast food done right ...

 

The Snyder version was certainly better, although my complaint was the same as with the original release, and Snyder is responsible for the problem. The story was a Marvel Movie Story. Every Marvel movie is pretty much the same -- some supernatural powerhouse being wants to wreak havoc and needs to get something to assist him/her/it in doing that so superheroes band together, often reluctantly, to try to stop him/her/it. JL is just like that. Contrast that with the Nolan Batman films and the psychological and emotional depths of those three.

 

Emily Deschanel really rocked it at "Bones" even in shabby helloween costume.

It's fine if that's not your thing but plenty of people like those kinds of movies. There was plenty of emotional depth to this movie despite having the story basics you mentioned. There's definitely a lot more to this story, and most comic book movie stories, than just the basics you mentioned.

Solo Batman movies are different because he's not a superpowered character, but the basics you mentioned are still there regardless.

 

Actually, after seeing ZS Cut must say...'It's EPIC!' - i've only experienced similar reverie state watching 'Watchmen'.
JWs cut is actually lame - esp. hastily added 'save the cat' moments - and he totally BUTCHED continuous and consistent story.
And ZSC is not '80s-90s' cardboard comix movie anyway, it's 'total immersion' with enough humane moments.
Still two things i've especially liked is different Steppenwolf and - of course - "epilogue". Joker IS a killer. And that chorus in first Aquaman scene...

I wonder in which continuity will be JL2 though.

PS Actually i sick and tired of 'metahuman emo dudes' and 'laughingstock outside battle' cliche that some people like - it's somehow OK for origins stories if done carefully but breaks tension in 'main storyline' epics.
