    To be fair - you don't really need much acting skill for the stuff written in Wonder Woman or The Mandalorian or the likes.

    She has the acting chops equivalent to a C or D lister. The only reasons anyone knows who she is, is due to MMA and her rich family.

    Gadot can at least handle interviews and social media gracefully. Nowadays that’s nearly as important as the performance. They will keep making WW movies with her and keep making boatloads of money.
    Carano only excels at the physical stuff and handles the press like someone who has had a lot of concussions.

    People who say someone "can't act" apparently live in a world where everything is black and white. Carano is no Amy Adams but she was okay in Haywire.

    No, he was right on that one, Gina cannot act worth a damn. I wish she could so she'd get cast more and maybe we'd get some onscreen nudity eventually, but she can't.

    She's far from brilliant, I agree, but anyone who "can't act" would completely destroy any suspension of belief, no matter which role they were in. I enjoyed Haywire and so did many others. Therefore, she acted well enough. Much of it was physical stuff I know, but not all. And lots of performances have the dialogue re-recorded and dubbed on afterwards, particularly action stuff.

    All just my opinion of course...

    Overdubbing is normal, overdubbing with a completely different actress because of how bad the original delivery was is not. She is an awful actress but she filled a need (pretty and muscular) and could have carved out a decent little mainstream niche for herself but now she'll be like Kirk Cameron doing mediocre straight to video stuff.
