What were they thinking?

 

I'm betting they're thinking that she has a great voice, tens of millions of followers, and would love to get the attention of a generation that hasn't given paid any attention to Metallica.

 

I would pump the breaks on the first part of that sentence, but relevance is a very likely factor, yes. With relevance comes money. I mean, Metallica fans have been pissed off at them since around the time I was born, so...

 

She covers Nothing Else Matters at some of her live shows and she's on a compilation with a bunch of different artists celebrating the 30th anniversary of the "black album". She performed it with them on Howard Stern the other day.

I like pic number 3 in the first post - more of an ass check than a sound check. Shure we would do the same ourselves and this was the first pic Miley put on her instagram of the session so maybe she kinda liked it!!

 

Reminds me of when Def Leppard shared the stage with Taylor Swift. I will say Taylor looked hot in that gold dress though! If she was under age at the time, I'll feel creepy (creepier) for saying that.
