    Sure, but Dakota Fanning, Chloe Moretz, Sandra Bullock, and Hilary Duff have done quite alright for themselves doing non-nude roles.

    You listed 3 child actors and someone who actually DID go nude in a terribly lit but still present scene (fire on the Amazon).

    But I don't necessarily disagree with your broader point. Take Christina Hendricks. Bigger up top than Sydney, never actually fully showed them.

    I think the internet has something to do with this too. Sandra's one nude scene came out years before she was famous and before the internet. She got famous in non-nude roles since. Yes those others were child actors, but as adults they haven't done nude roles and they're still famous and getting work. But yeah, some people like Sydney and Alexandria are famous now because of nude scenes, thanks to the internet. You don't have to see their movies to see their nudity.

    Without wishing to be disrespectful, Chloe Moretz and Hilary Duff are kind of fading into irrelevance (as is Christina Hendricks) and Dakota Fanning is being eclipsed by her little sister, who has shown the goods.

    It sounds cynical but sex sells. It's hard for an actress who doesn't take her clothes off to have any longevity in the business. There's only a handful I can think of who have managed to avoid it and still be in demand, Cate Blanchett for example.

    True, but those were just examples. I've never seen Tom Hanks' wang, and he's one of the top actors in the world. :p

    If nudity is what's needed, then I'm ok with Chloe, Dakota, and Hilary doing nude scenes to help revitalize their careers. Whatever it takes. :cool:

    It's different for men. We get the long end of the stick on that. For a woman to survive in the business and not take her clothes off, she has to be really good (or a Golden Age star because they didn't have film nudity back then)
