    Speaking of which! Has anyone seen the report on "After" effect of this once fun and RESPONSIBLE celebration?? 2 million dollars for the cleanup and the state is on the hook for the bill

    It'd be interesting to see how much the cleanup costs versus how much the state makes on this.

    Quick estimate: 60,000+ attendees x $575 per ticket = $34.5M
    Probably worth it for the state.

    That's not true from my understanding. There's a cleanup crew of Burningman volunteers that stay out there for the next week or so, doing all of the cleanup and hauling. BLM won't give them a permit next year, if they don't do a satisfactory job cleaning up the site.
