I don't care that she skipped a line. Everyone waiting in that line needed their head checked. Waiting 20 hours for a ten second look at a box. Look, as I said earlier, Liz seemed like a nice woman, but she was a priviledged, rich, monrach installed into a system of power that should never exist in a democracy. And when you know how that system came about, it's laughable that anyone would ever bow the knee to them or consider them"above" the rest of us.

Big difference between upset and bored as fuck. Your routine of talking as if you're the authority on everything is so stale at this point. You make statements that you believe should command respect, yet I very rarely see anyone agree or be thankful for what you offer. Nobody cares.

What it is, is disdain, no, opposition to a democratic nation that has a monarchy and a house of lords. Living in a world where people freeze to death of the streets of the capital while one family gets to live literally like kings and queens. And why? Who says that this one family get to live over us and call themselves or king, king ffs? In the 21st century, when we are supposed to be aiming for fairness, genuine equality and raising the standard of living and removing suffering, we still have a system in place where one family gets to live in a series of mansions funded by us and everyone think's it somehow taboo to say anything about it. And you get called an arse for saying anything negative about it.

Well, I've always been against it and think that showing respect or support for an archaic system of supremacy is reducing yourself to saying you are literally beneath the royals.

And you know what? You guys love to throw the "high and mighty jamms" thing at me whenever I show an opinion. What it is is that I have strong ideas and opinions and I don't mince my words. And I don't care what people think of me. You think I'm an egotistical arsehole for having strong opinions and not being shy about talking about them?

Tim, I wasn't corecting you, I was talking, sharing what I think. Do I think waiting in line for hours to see the coffin (I would bet everything I had that the queen was absolutely not in that coffin, the risk of something happening to her would have been a security nightmare, so you were almost certainly looking at an empty box) was silly? Maybe that is a bit harsh. But, it's a harsh world and sometimes you have to hear things you don't like. Sometimes you have to hear opinions that don't make you feel good.

And Maj, I'm smart, think about things and have opinions. Never once claimed to be any authority. But, as I said, I don't suffer foolishness or bad ideas without challenging them. The problem is that people want everything wrapped in cotton wool. What, should we all just post the clap emoji and pat each other on the back? Why do you think so much of the forum is dead? Everyone is so sensitive and any real conversation gets warned and then told to stop or threads just get closed. We used to have real debate and talk in here. Now if you say anything that isn't sunshine and roses...well. You know what. Doesn't matter. The monarchy will be here long after I am dead. But hey, lets worship a family and literally bow to them as gods. Nothing unhealthy about that as a civilisation or person is there?

First off, this isn't the place for this kind of debate. You know that. Why not make a thread in the lounge so that people know what they are in for when they enter that thread? Why should people who just want to have a look at some chicks they like have to be subjected to and aggravated by your unkind opinions?

That's the key to all this. I have strong opinions and don't mince my words either. Theres a few of us here like that. Its fine to not give a shit what people think of you. I dont care either. That doesnt mean that you should just say whatever you want with no care for other peoples feelings. Just because you can say something doesn't mean you should. Im sorry that you are so bothered by the world in which you live but theres no putting the top back on this one. We live in a world where what you do and say will be scrutinized and people are not willing to just look the other way. There was a time not too long ago in our history where calling black people the N word was commonplace and most people would barely bat an eye when hearing it. There was a time when it was a generally accepted way of referring to a gay person by using the f word. Thankfully, those times are over. If you use those words now, your peers will hold you accountable. I think we are better off for it. But that's just my opinion and I'm not looking for a debate about it.

The bottom line is, you can't come into a thread and start bashing a whole group of people and telling them that they are dumb or ignorant or any other word for doing something they believe in and feel passionate about and not expect that you are going to catch some heat for it. Its insensitive and offensive. Its your attitude that makes people have the concept of the high and mighty jamms. You make statements in a way that makes it seeem that what you are saying is an inarguable truth and anyone who doesnt agree is a moron and needs their head checked because they live in a fantasy world. Its demeaning and does make you sound like an asshole, which in turn makes people immediately want to turn a deaf ear to whatever you are presenting, regardless of its validity.

Anyway, thats enough shitting up this thread. Im locking it now. We have gone way off into left field somewhere and I am also guilty here now.
