They just skipped over continuing into the 80s and went straight to the 90s?

They did do That 80s Show. It was a loose spin-off, totally failed and is only notable now because it was an early starring vehicle for Glenn Howerton aka Dennis from It's Always Sunny

That '90s Show won't, either. I got through about five minutes of it before I had to shut it off. Embarrassingly terrible.

Not surprising, really. How many TV revivals are actually good? Twin Peaks is the only one I can think of

Revival Battlestar G was good. New Quantum Leap is decent. TNG, DS9, and Voyager were all good revivals of classic Trek. But then they did Discovery and Picard. Not very good. So yeah, in general, most revivals are not very good, I agree.

Most of those, Battlestar Galactica was a reboot, completely different and TNG and DS9 were spin-offs, not revivals.

What I'm talking about is when they get the old cast back together, or what's left of it, and try to pick up where they left off. It almost never works, except for Twin Peaks and what worked about that was that it wasn't just a retirement home for Twin Peaks, there were actual new characters and new settings that were potentially more interesting than seeing the same characters 25 years later, who haven't really changed

You're right. The Conners is good, but that's a rarity.

Afterm*a*s*h sucked, so did the new WKRP in Cincinnati.
I was enjoying that 90s show, Even with the diversity crap, until they started preaching 2020 sociopolitical agendas, then I just shut it off.

I have been enjoying the new night Court though.

I just thought of one that worked besides The Conners: Cobra Kai.
